NOW PROVIDING SUPERVISION FOR THOSE PURSUING CLINICAL LICENSURE
IN GEORGIA & SOUTH CAROLINA
I am an
“approved supervisor” as defined by Chapter 63, Section 40-63-240, Code of Laws
of the State of South Carolina, and a “qualified supervisor” defined by the
“Rules and Regulations” of the State of Georgia, Section 135-5-.04. I have held
license without restrictions since obtaining LCSW and LISW CP licensure on
April 24, 2012. I have been involved in the mental health field since May of
2002. I currently hold a Clinical Social Work License in the states of South
Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
I PASSED THE EXAM THE FIRST TIME: Supervision that goes beyond the BSW / MSW case management and focuses heavily on preparing candidates to successfully PASS the LCSW Exam and to expand their knowledge on clinical concepts. Proven STRATEGIES! Basic knowledge is not enough, it will take a very specific strategy. This is not typically provided with most supervision services.
I earned an MSW at West
Chester University in May of 2008. I am currently employed as a Veteran
Transition Care Manager Clinical Social Worker at the United States Department
of Veterans Affairs.
Counseling modalities in my
current position include Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and
"Educational Supervision...includes activities in which the
supervisee is guided to learn about assessment, treatment and intervention,
identification and resolution of ethical issues, and evaluation and termination
of services." Best Practice Standards in Social Work Supervision NASW and
I aim for your
supervision to be professionally rewarding, and my expectation is that you will
benefit greatly from this experience. In addition to obtaining licensure,
supervision has the purpose of fostering professional growth, as well as
enhancing the skill of the supervisee.
